The Advanced Quranic Tajweed Course at PIRC is designed for students who already have a basic understanding of Tajweed and wish to master advanced rules of Quranic recitation. This course focuses on perfection in articulation, advanced Tajweed applications, and improving recitation style with precision, fluency, and beauty.

Course Overview

In this course, students will:

1) Revise core Tajweed principles and build on prior knowledge.
2) Learn advanced rules such as Ikhfaa Shafawi, Idghaam Kabir, advanced Madd rules, and heavy/light letters (Tafkheem and Tarqeeq).
3) Practise Waqf (pausing) and Ibtida (starting) rules for correct Quranic recitation flow.
4) Understand advanced Makharij and Sifaat (characteristics of letters) for precision.
5) Enhance their recitation style (Lahjah) for fluency and beauty.
6) Receive one-on-one correction from experienced instructors.
7) Gain confidence in reciting Quran with mastery suitable for teaching or leading recitation.

Learning Outcomes

Apply all advanced Tajweed rules with accuracy in recitation.
Demonstrate mastery in Makharij and Sifaat of letters for perfect articulation.
Recite the Quran fluently with proper Waqf and Ibtida techniques.
Develop a beautiful and confident recitation style suitable for teaching or leading Salah.
Build a strong foundation for further specialisation, such as Qira’at studies.

Completion of Basic Tajweed Course or equivalent knowledge.
Ability to fluently read the Quran without frequent errors.
Commitment to regular practice and application of advanced rules.
Access to a Mushaf (Quran) with Tajweed markings for daily practice.
Discipline and dedication to refine recitation under instructor supervision.
